  • Stop Worrying & Living in Fear

Are you currently facing challenges with balance and experiencing frequent falls?

Do you find yourself struggling to maintain stability and feeling unsafe on your feet?

It’s a common misconception to believe that these issues will simply improve on their own. You might attribute them to factors like getting older, being clumsy, or just having weak legs. However, despite your best efforts, the problems persist and pose a risk to your overall well-being.

Rest assured, you’re not alone in this struggle. Many individuals face similar difficulties with balance and falling, seeking answers and solutions to regain their stability. It’s important to recognize that these issues won’t magically disappear overnight and require proper attention and care.

Another unfortunate situation that often arises is being advised to accept balance troubles as a normal part of aging and to be cautious but not proactive in seeking help. However, this approach does not address the underlying causes and can lead to a continued decline in balance and an increased risk of falls.

If Your Balance Difficulties is Untreated, Things Will Likely Only Get Worse…

Experiencing balance difficulties is a pervasive issue that afflicts numerous individuals, with the potential to become chronic if neglected. However, our aim is not to instill fear but to provide enlightenment and empowerment because unaddressed balance challenges need not result in an ongoing struggle.

Commonly, individuals opt for a “wait and see” approach with their balance issues, seeking temporary relief but often finding themselves frustrated when instability persists. Another prevalent scenario involves advice to rely on quick fixes or temporary measures, such as medications or extended periods of rest. Unfortunately, these strategies rarely yield lasting results, leading individuals back into a cycle of dependency on makeshift solutions.

If this narrative resonates with your experience of balance difficulties, know that you are not alone.

Dr Sharon was diligent in dealing with my back and neck issues. She increased my mobility tremendously and the home exercises she gave me did wonders for my golf game and general health. I want to continue a program to increase my mobility even more and enjoy the benefits of painless activities. Her program has done wonders

In September 2022 I had a complex shoulder surgery and began a regimen of physical therapy with Dr. Sharon Sims of Back in Motion here in Verandah. I can only say that today I’m in better physical shape then I’ve been in years. By following her treatment plan I’m able to play “pain free golf” a couple of time a week and participate in fitness activities -- pickleball is next on my list. It wasn’t easy, requiring a lot of work, but it paid off. Thanks Dr. Sharon.I have been seeing Dr. Sharon for a few weeks. After the 2nd visit the severe lower back pain was alleviated. So much so that I have been able to resume golf with much better swing ( although that's not saying much LoL).If you need physical therapy this is the place and she is the right doctor.Be prepared to work hard. If you follow directions you'll be satisfied.

Dr. Sharon is a miracle worker! I ended up with nerve damage after a partial knee replacement and was very slow to recover. Dr. Sharon kept me motivated even though I was not seeing immediate improvement. I kept at it and she has helped me build back my quad strength and range of motion. She noticed I also had some back issues and the orthopedic inserts she recommended for me are really alleviating my back pain and helping me with my gait. I also tried dry needling and that also helped relieve pain and helped with my range of motion. My surgeon said it could take up to a year for my nerves to regenerate and I plan on continuing to see Dr. Sharon until I reach my goal of walking without a limp and being able to resume an active lifestyle. Dr. Sharon was able to adapt exercises so that I could feel that I was improving and her vast experience in the field was obvious. I strongly recommend Dr. Sharon for both flexibility and pain treatment as well as post operative care. She is the best!

I attended an arthritis discovery seminar by Dr. Sharon Sims and found it very informative. I booked my first appointment for an evaluation and the office staff made the process extremely easy and more importantly, efficient! Dr. Sharon's diagnosis was thorough and a treatment plan immediately put into place and future appointments booked. I feel much better after just 4 appointments. Thank you, Dr. Sharon and Back in Motion! Highly recommend!

I suffered a stroke in early October 2021. The stroke mostly resulted in numbness and loss of sensory perception on my left side. However, Dr. Sharon pointed out that it also involved some loss of some motor skills along with a weakened sense of balance.Dr. Sharon has been working with me not only in strengthening my left side but also increasing my sense of balance which has definitely improved over the last several weeks. My golf game has also improved as a result of the therapy.Dr. Sharon’s diagnostic and evaluation skills are exceptional along with her ability to arrive at a treatment plan that has reduced some of the damage from my stroke. I highly recommend Dr. Sharon and am thankful for the physical therapy which she has provided. Thanks,Gary C. Reich D.D.S. ( retired)
