Does your foot or ankle pain do any of this?

Check everything that sounds like you.

That pattern usually means your foot is being overloaded, and it can be fixed.

Weak foot and calf muscles, an old sprain that never fully healed, or the way your hips and knees move are often the real cause. The good news: that's exactly what we find and fix.

What you're not being told

Inserts, ice, and rest treat where it hurts. They don't fix why it hurts.

Most people are told to rest, ice it, wear orthotics, or take anti-inflammatories. When the pain returns every time you get active again, something isn't being addressed. Most foot and ankle problems aren't just about the foot. The most common overlooked causes:

  • Limited hip or knee mobility shifting extra force into your foot
  • Walking or running patterns that overload the ankle
  • Old sprains or injuries that never fully healed
  • Weak or unstable small muscles in the foot
  • Going back to activity without retraining control and strength

Common questions about foot & ankle pain treatment

Do I need an MRI or X-ray first?

Most people don't need imaging to get started. Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation, and if we find anything that needs further testing, we'll tell you and help coordinate with your doctor.

Do I need orthotics?

Some people benefit from them, and we offer custom foot orthotics when they make sense. But inserts alone rarely fix the cause. Our focus is building the strength and movement your feet need, so you're not dependent on them.

Can you help with plantar fasciitis?

Yes, it's one of the most common things we treat. We look at why your heel and arch are being overloaded, then use hands-on care and targeted strengthening to calm it down and keep it from coming back.

My ankle keeps rolling. Can physical therapy help?

Yes. Repeated sprains usually mean the ankle never regained its strength and balance after the first one. We rebuild that stability so your ankle feels solid again.

Where are you located?

We have clinics in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero (Pelican Sound), and at the Verandah. See all our locations, call (239) 788-0838, or inquire online and we'll help you choose the closest one.
