If You Have Unrelenting Sciatica, You Know How Debilitating it Can Be…

If you're here reading this, there is a high probability you're grappling with relentless sciatica that hasn't responded to “traditional” care or is dramatically affecting your daily life.

Chances are you’re not getting a good night of rest…

You’re unproductive at work…

You can’t exercise or live your active lifestyle…

The pain is so bad that it’s affecting your mood…

When the pain, stiffness, or discomfort persist, it's natural to assume it will resolve on its own or attribute it to common factors such as an uncomfortable sleeping position or age-related wear and tear.

If Your Sciatica is Untreated, Things Will Likely Only Get Worse…

Sciatica is a prevalent condition affecting many individuals, with the potential to become chronic if not properly addressed.

But fear not; our aim is not to instill worry but to inform and empower, as sciatica doesn't have to be an ongoing struggle.

Over time, we've encountered numerous cases where individuals adopt a “wait and see” approach to manage their sciatic pain, leading to temporary relief but often resulting in frustration when the pain resurfaces.

Another common scenario involves patients relying on painkillers and rest in the hope of improvement, yet this strategy seldom yields lasting results. After weeks of rest, the pain persists, prompting a return to the doctor's office.

Unfortunately, this cycle may escalate to stronger medications, prolonged rest, or unnecessary interventions.

If this narrative resonates with your experience of sciatic pain, know that you're not alone. Understanding the various reasons behind persistent sciatica can be perplexing, especially when receiving conflicting advice from different sources.

How Can a Physical Therapist Help Treat Sciatica?

Let's face it; most treatments for sciatica just don't cut it.

Many medical providers focus solely on treating the symptoms, overlooking the root cause of the problem. While painkillers, injections, and surgery may have their place, they shouldn't be the default options for sciatica.

At Back in Motion Physical Therapy & Performance,, we believe in a holistic approach that goes beyond temporary fixes. We are proud to introduce the Gray Method, a comprehensive and personalized approach to sciatica relief.

We understand that each patient's sciatica  is unique, and so is our treatment.

Our primary goal is to uncover the underlying reason behind your sciatica and address it effectively.

We steer away from simply masking the pain with medication or advising you to rest indefinitely. Instead, we provide education, self-care strategies, and expert guidance to empower you in your journey to a pain-free life. Our mission is to help you find long-lasting relief and regain control of your health and well-being.

So, if you're tired of conventional treatments that fall short, then take the next step today to let our team help you.

Dr Sharon was diligent in dealing with my back and neck issues. She increased my mobility tremendously and the home exercises she gave me did wonders for my golf game and general health. I want to continue a program to increase my mobility even more and enjoy the benefits of painless activities. Her program has done wonders

In September 2022 I had a complex shoulder surgery and began a regimen of physical therapy with Dr. Sharon Sims of Back in Motion here in Verandah. I can only say that today I’m in better physical shape then I’ve been in years. By following her treatment plan I’m able to play “pain free golf” a couple of time a week and participate in fitness activities -- pickleball is next on my list. It wasn’t easy, requiring a lot of work, but it paid off. Thanks Dr. Sharon.I have been seeing Dr. Sharon for a few weeks. After the 2nd visit the severe lower back pain was alleviated. So much so that I have been able to resume golf with much better swing ( although that's not saying much LoL).If you need physical therapy this is the place and she is the right doctor.Be prepared to work hard. If you follow directions you'll be satisfied.

Dr. Sharon is a miracle worker! I ended up with nerve damage after a partial knee replacement and was very slow to recover. Dr. Sharon kept me motivated even though I was not seeing immediate improvement. I kept at it and she has helped me build back my quad strength and range of motion. She noticed I also had some back issues and the orthopedic inserts she recommended for me are really alleviating my back pain and helping me with my gait. I also tried dry needling and that also helped relieve pain and helped with my range of motion. My surgeon said it could take up to a year for my nerves to regenerate and I plan on continuing to see Dr. Sharon until I reach my goal of walking without a limp and being able to resume an active lifestyle. Dr. Sharon was able to adapt exercises so that I could feel that I was improving and her vast experience in the field was obvious. I strongly recommend Dr. Sharon for both flexibility and pain treatment as well as post operative care. She is the best!

Sharon is an excellent physical therapist, highly competent, professional and personable! She has been helping me with both my shoulder and my back. I am now comfortably walking, doing the elliptical and biking, and will be golfing and playing pickleball soon. Thanks so much!

I attended an arthritis discovery seminar by Dr. Sharon Sims and found it very informative. I booked my first appointment for an evaluation and the office staff made the process extremely easy and more importantly, efficient! Dr. Sharon's diagnosis was thorough and a treatment plan immediately put into place and future appointments booked. I feel much better after just 4 appointments. Thank you, Dr. Sharon and Back in Motion! Highly recommend!

I suffered a stroke in early October 2021. The stroke mostly resulted in numbness and loss of sensory perception on my left side. However, Dr. Sharon pointed out that it also involved some loss of some motor skills along with a weakened sense of balance.Dr. Sharon has been working with me not only in strengthening my left side but also increasing my sense of balance which has definitely improved over the last several weeks. My golf game has also improved as a result of the therapy.Dr. Sharon’s diagnostic and evaluation skills are exceptional along with her ability to arrive at a treatment plan that has reduced some of the damage from my stroke. I highly recommend Dr. Sharon and am thankful for the physical therapy which she has provided. Thanks,Gary C. Reich D.D.S. ( retired)
