Does your knee pain do any of this?

That pattern usually means your knee is being overloaded by something else.

Weak hips, limited ankle mobility, or the way you squat and walk are often the real cause. The good news: that's exactly what we find and fix.

What you're not being told

Rest, braces, and pain pills treat where it hurts. They don't fix why it hurts.

Most people with nagging knee pain are told to rest, ice, take anti-inflammatories, or avoid the activities they love. When the pain keeps coming back even after doing "all the right things," something deeper is being missed. The most common overlooked causes:

  • Weak glutes or poor hip and core control that shifts force into the knee
  • Squat or walking mechanics that stress the joint
  • Limited ankle mobility that throws off leg alignment
  • Old injuries that never fully healed, now causing compensation
  • Going back to workouts or daily life without the right strength and stability

Common questions about knee pain treatment

Do I need an MRI or X-ray first?

Most people don't need imaging to get started. Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation, and if we find anything that needs further testing, we'll tell you and help coordinate with your doctor.

Can physical therapy help me avoid a knee replacement?

For many people with knee arthritis, the right strength and movement plan reduces pain and improves function, which can help delay or avoid surgery. If a replacement turns out to be the right choice, we'll tell you honestly and help you prepare for it and recover from it.

Can you help after knee surgery?

Yes. We help people rebuild strength, motion, and confidence after knee replacements, ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, and other procedures, following your surgeon's guidelines.

My knee clicks or gives way. Should I be worried?

Clicking without pain is often harmless, but catching, locking, or giving way deserves a proper evaluation. We'll test your knee, explain what's going on, and refer you to your doctor if anything needs further attention.

Where are you located?

We have clinics in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero (Pelican Sound), and at the Verandah. See all our locations, call (239) 788-0838, or inquire online and we'll help you choose the closest one.
