Does your hip pain do any of this?
Check everything that sounds like you.
Weak glutes, poor core or pelvic control, or stiffness in your back or ankles are often the real cause. The good news: that's exactly what we find and fix.
Find Out What's Causing Yours
Rest, stretching, and cortisone treat where it hurts. They don't fix why it hurts.
Many active adults are told hip pain is just "part of aging" or "wear and tear," or that they need to stop running, squatting, or sleeping on their side. But if your hip pain keeps coming back, the root cause hasn't been addressed. What's really behind most hip pain:
- Weak or underactive glutes and deep hip stabilizers
- Movement imbalances that overload one side of the body
- Core or pelvic instability that forces your hips to compensate
- Limited mobility in your spine or ankles creating stress at the hip
- Going back to activity without restoring strength and control

Common questions about hip pain treatment
Do I need an MRI or X-ray first?
Most people don't need imaging to get started. Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation, and if we find anything that needs further testing, we'll tell you and help coordinate with your doctor.
I was told it's arthritis. Can physical therapy still help?
Often, yes. Arthritis on an X-ray doesn't always explain the pain you feel. Building strength and improving how your hip moves can reduce pain and help you stay active. If a replacement becomes the right choice, we'll tell you honestly and help you prepare and recover.
Can you help with pain on the outside of my hip?
Yes. Pain on the outside of the hip, often from bursitis or tendon irritation, is one of the most common things we treat. It usually responds well to the right strengthening and changes in how you move.
Can you help after a hip replacement?
Yes. We help people rebuild strength, balance, and confidence after hip replacements and other hip procedures, following your surgeon's guidelines.
