July 2026
Stay Strong. Stay Healthy.
Live Life In Motion
A Personal Note from Dr. Scott:

Freedom Is More Than a Celebration—It’s a Responsibility
This July, our nation celebrates a remarkable milestone—250 years of American independence.
For two and a half centuries, the idea of freedom has inspired generations to dream bigger, work harder, and build better lives. While we often celebrate that freedom with fireworks, cookouts, and time with family, I think it’s also a great opportunity to reflect on another kind of freedom—the freedom that comes from having a healthy, capable body.
When your body moves well, life opens up.
You have the freedom to chase your grandchildren around the yard, hike your favorite trails, play a round of golf with friends, travel without worrying about keeping up, or simply wake up each morning without stiffness dictating how your day will go.
Unfortunately, many people slowly begin to surrender that freedom.
They stop doing the activities they love because of nagging aches. They avoid exercising because they’re afraid of making something worse. They begin accepting limitations that they assume are just part of getting older.
But getting older doesn’t have to mean giving up the life you enjoy.
At Back in Motion, we believe health isn’t about perfection—it’s about preserving the freedom to continue doing what matters most to you.
Every assessment we perform, every treatment we provide, and every workout we coach is guided by one simple purpose: helping people move with confidence and strength for years to come.
This month, as we celebrate 250 years of independence, I encourage you to think about your own independence.
What activities do you want to continue enjoying five years from now? Ten years from now? Twenty years from now?
The choices we make today determine the freedom we’ll have tomorrow.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, building strength, or simply trying to stay active, remember that every healthy habit is an investment in your future independence.
Thank you for trusting us to be part of that journey.
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July, and here’s to celebrating the freedom that comes from living a strong, healthy, and active life.

When Knee Pain Isn’t Really a Knee Problem – Tony’s Case Study

Tony came to Back in Motion with persistent right knee and hamstring pain that was affecting the way he walked. Like many people, he assumed the pain meant there was something wrong with his knee.
But after a comprehensive movement assessment, we discovered the real issue started somewhere else.
By improving his ankle mobility, strengthening key muscle groups, and restoring normal movement in his knee joint, Tony was able to move more efficiently—and after just 10 sessions, he was back doing the things he enjoyed without pain.
This case is a great reminder that where you feel pain isn’t always where the problem begins.
