Our Estero Physical Therapy Clinic Can Help You Overcome Persistent Pain, Stiffness, or Injury

Pain, stiffness, and injuries can come from poor posture, overuse, underlying conditions, or recovery after surgery like a knee or hip replacement. They make it hard to move freely and do everyday tasks. Here are the most common things patients tell us:

  • Chronic pain that doesn't respond to conventional treatments
  • Limited mobility, making daily activities uncomfortable
  • Stiffness: tightness or rigidity in muscles and joints
  • Slow or incomplete recovery from an injury
  • Frustration that traditional treatments haven't given the relief you need

At Back In Motion, we do it differently. Our Estero physical therapy team is trained in The Gray Method™ to find the real reason your pain, injury, or limitation keeps coming back, with hands-on care, targeted exercise, and clear guidance at every step.

We also treat patients at our Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Verandah clinics.

Our approach

How we get you out of pain, without guessing

Our signature 3-step process detects the real problem, fixes it at the source, and guides you back to living, moving, and performing like yourself again.

Step 1

The Root Cause Assessment

In a one-on-one assessment, we identify why you're in pain, what's driving it, and which movements are helping or hurting. You leave with clarity, answers, and a clear next step.

Step 2

Fix the Cause

Once the cause is clear, care becomes precise. Using The Gray Method™, we address the source of your pain. Nothing random, nothing generic.

Step 3

Get Back to Being You

As the cause is fixed, you move without fear, trust your body again, and return to exercise, sport, and daily life, without managing symptoms.

What we treat at our Estero clinic

We help active adults, athletes, busy parents, and retirees in Estero overcome pain and stay active, without relying on painkillers, injections, or surgery. Tap a condition to learn more.

Lower Back Pain & Sciatica

Back pain that flares when you sit, bend, or first get out of bed rarely starts in your back. It's usually your hips, core, or the way you load your spine that's driving it. We find the movement pattern that keeps reloading the tissue, so the pain stops coming back instead of just quieting down.

Neck Pain, Tension & Headaches

Tight traps, a stiff neck, and headaches that build by the afternoon are usually a mid-back and shoulder-blade problem your neck is compensating for. We assess the whole chain from your ribcage to your jaw, then fix the segment that's actually failing.

Shoulder Pain & Rotator Cuff Injuries

If reaching overhead, sleeping on your side, or serving a tennis ball sends a sharp catch through your shoulder, the rotator cuff is usually the victim, not the villain. We restore the mechanics above and below the joint so the cuff stops getting pinched every time you lift.

Hip Pain & Stiffness

Deep groin pain, a pinch at the front of the hip, or an ache on the outside when you walk often traces back to how your foot lands and how your core stabilizes, not the hip joint itself. We test how your hip loads under real movement to find what's overworking it, then unload it.

Knee Pain

When your hip or your foot isn't doing its job, your knee absorbs the difference. That's why pain with stairs, squatting, running, or standing up keeps returning even after rest and braces. We look above and below the knee first, because that's almost always where the fix is.

Foot & Ankle Pain and Plantar Fasciitis

Stabbing heel pain in your first steps out of bed, a sprain that never fully settled, or an arch that aches by mid-afternoon are load problems, not just tissue problems. We assess how your foot strikes, absorbs, and pushes off, then rebuild the strength it depends on.

TMJ & Jaw Pain

Clicking, locking, jaw fatigue, and the headaches that come with them often involve your neck posture and upper back too. We treat the jaw, neck, and skull-base muscles together so the joint can move freely.

Pelvic Floor & Pelvic Health

Leaking, pressure, or pain with sitting or intimacy isn't a normal part of aging or having children. We assess how your pelvic floor coordinates with your breathing, core, and hips, in a private room with a therapist trained in pelvic health.

Sports Injuries & Return to Play

"Rest until it stops hurting" is not a rehab plan. We rebuild strength, tolerance, and confidence under the loads your sport actually demands, and we tell you honestly when you're ready.

Post-Surgical Rehab

A successful surgery is the starting line, not the finish. We take you past "cleared" all the way to strong, whether you're coming off a knee or hip replacement, rotator cuff repair, ACL reconstruction, or spinal surgery.

Balance & Fall Prevention

Reaching for the wall or feeling unsteady on uneven ground is a strength and coordination problem, and unlike age, it's one you can reverse. We test your balance, gait, and lower-body strength, then train the specific systems that are letting you down.

Learn more about fall prevention →
Nerve Pain & Pinched Nerves

Burning, tingling, or numbness means a nerve is being compressed somewhere along its path, often nowhere near where you feel it. We trace the nerve from the spine outward to find the actual point of restriction, then free it and keep it free.

Questions about physical therapy in Estero

What happens at my first visit?

You'll meet one-on-one with a physical therapist for a Root Cause Assessment. We'll talk through your history and goals, test how you move, find what's driving your pain, and explain it in plain language. You'll leave with answers and a clear plan.

I've tried physical therapy before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?

Most people who come to us have. Traditional PT often treats where it hurts with generic exercises. The Gray Method™ finds why it hurts, often somewhere else in the body, and fixes that, one-on-one, with no hand-offs to aides.

Do you only help with pain?

No. We also help people get stronger, move better, recover after surgery, and return to sport. Many patients continue into our fitness and performance programs once they're out of pain.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, like athletic wear, so we can assess and treat the area that's bothering you.

Which location should I go to?

Our Estero clinic is at 4784 Pelican Sound Blvd., inside Pelican Sound Golf & River Club. We also have clinics in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and at the Verandah. Our team will help you choose the most convenient one.
